Ford FVP F6 X: 362 Hp Territory Crossover Unveiled In Sydney

Ford Australia’s sport division, FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) unveiled the first non-Falcon vehicle (though it is based on the Falcon platform) in its range, the F6 X, at the 2007 Sydney Motorshow. Derived from Ford's Territory vehicle family, the FPV F6 X is powered by a turbocharged 4.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine, producing 362 Hp of power and 550 Nm – 406 lbs/ft of torque, matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission and a full-time All-Wheel-Drive system. -Continued after the jump

FPV engineers re-tuned the suspension of the Territory to produce a firmer sports feel while braking performance has been enhanced by the fitment of Brembo six-piston front calipers and a new FPV calibration for the ABS and DSC systems

Cosmetically, the F6 X exterior styling cues include a front mesh grille insert, rear spoiler and alloy running boards with a matching body color surround, metal accents on the front skid plate, bonnet air scoop, door mirror scalps and rear skid plate along with 18-inch five-spoke alloys in Alpine Silver finish.

Inside the F6 X gets a two-tone leather seat trim while the instrument cluster features the FPV logo, an engine speed red line and distinctive FPV blue illumination. FPV scuff plates and alloy pedals along with a build plate mounted on the gear selector surround complete the list of interior appointments.

According to Ford Australia, the new FPV F6 X is due to go on sale in early 2008 with pricing to be released closer to launch.
