2010 Acura RL – Honda Legend: The Art of Photoshop...

A few hours ago we stumbled upon a scan sourced from a Japanese car magazine depicting the next generation Honda Legend or, as we know it in the States, the top of the line Acura RL. Despite the “4.5 V8 4WD” legend on the left hand side, it didn’t take us more than a few seconds to realize that the scan from the unknown Japanese car mag was nothing more than a slightly photoshopped version of the Honda Accord Modulo prototype that debuted at the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon this January (see here).

Needless to say, this isn’t the first (or the last…) time that a magazine attempts to fool us with a fake scoop. However, just to see the amount of work that it would take to create a “scoop” picture like the Honda Legend -and even though we’re no professionals, we decided to waste a couple of hours fooling around with Photoshop.

As a base, we used the Accord Modulo Concept and tried to turn in into the 2010 Acura RL by skewing the car’s dimensions, adding a 2009 TSX grille and slightly altering the headlights. Just for kicks, we also threw in a new background and voila; Carscoop’s… scoop picture of the 2010 Acura RL. Damn that was easy!
