VW Introduces New Book: “Scirocco Story 1974-1992”

Just before the new Scirocco hits the European market, VW’s Corporate History Department presented the story of the model in a new book entitled “Scirocco. Aufregend vernünftig. Der VW Scirocco 1974-1992.” Based on previously inaccessible documents from the Corporate Archive in Wolfsburg, historian and archivist Claudia Böhler has traced the history of both generation models from development and production through to the marketing and sale of the sport coupe. -Continued

"This book on the Scirocco is the first in a series about VW models which provides our customers, the media and all youngtimer friends with a reliable source of information on the unique and distinctive history of the VW brand and its models," commented Manfred Grieger, Head of the Corporate History Department.
