Nissan said on Monday that it will cut back further on its European vehicle assembly in order to reduce existing inventory and to prevent over supply of models that aren't selling. The Japanese firm's plants in both Sunderland (UK) and Barcelona (Spain) will be affected by this short-term plan. At Sunderland, the company will stop producing the Micra and the Note completely for two weeks at the end of October and will operate three weeks with short-time working after that.
