Remember the prototype models of Honda's hodgepodge of BMW 5-Series GT and Porsche Panamera tidbits that we showed you back in May through a series of photos taken by forum member M. Baliksy? Well today the Japanese automaker officially confirmed the existence of the Accord-based crossover adding that it will be called the "Accord Crosstour" and that it will go on sale in the States in the fall of 2009 as a 2010 model. Honda did not give out any other information, but the fact that the Crosstour is in essence just a new body variant of the U.S. market Accord means that there shouldn't be any surprises under the hood or anywhere else for that matter.
