Rare Find of the Day: Mid-Engined 1987 Zimmer Quicksilver

Here's another rare oddity found for sale on eBay Motors. The long-nose Zimmer Quicksilver is a custom made coupe with a mid-mounted V6 engine. And yes, as you may have already guessed, it's based on GM's Pontiac Fiero. The car's retro styling takes its inspiration from glitzy Lincoln and Cadillac models of the 1970s.

Zimmer was a short lived company that jumped on the nostalgia bandwagon at the end of the 1970s. In addition to its best-selling flagship model, the Golden Spirit, of which more than 1,500 copies were produced, the Florida-based company also manufactured around 170 examples of the Fiero-based Quicksilver between 1984 and 1988.

This here Quicksilver is a 1987 model and it's up for grabs on eBay with a 'Buy it Now' price of $14,500.
