Jaguar XJ75 Platinum Sports Concept Celebrates [Again] firm's 75th Anniversary at Pebble Beach

It's become somewhat common knowledge at this point that Jaguar is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, but just in case the limited edition XKR175 Coupe doesn't spread the word at this weekend's Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in California, Jaguar also readied the XJ75 Platinum concept.

The concept study is based on the long-wheelbase XJ with power derived from a completely stock 5.0-liter Supercharged direct-injection V8 with 470HP and 424 lb.-ft of torque.

While the engine and suspension parts are left unchanged, the design concept gets a revised exterior and interior. The outside of the car is dominated by a white and black contrast theme, as well as a body kit with a ground-hugging front spoiler, and rear and side sills.

Jaguar's design team also refinished the chrome trim elements of the XJ to a dark chrome and gloss black shade, and added bespoke 22-inch alloy wheels in a brushed contrast finish.

The same color theme continues inside with gloss pearlescent white air vents, veneers and diamond stitch suede inserts to the seats and headliner. Additional suede and leather accents used throughout the interior, and a bespoke clock developed and designed in partnership with the Bremont Watch Company, complete the styling upgrades.

"The new Jaguar XJ Platinum Concept celebrates Jaguar's 75th Anniversary, and highlights the uniqueness of the XJ, and more broadly, the increasingly personal nature of luxury cars in today's market," said Mike O'Driscoll, Managing Director of Jaguar.
