Soldiers Rip to Pieces and then Rebuild Army Jeep in Less than 4 Minutes!

For many, the world's most iconic automobile is not the Ford Model T or the Volkswagen Beetle. For them, it's the humble Willys Jeep. Serving in three wars, the Jeep (or MB) was built to fulfill a 1930s War Department requirement for a light 4x4 utility vehicle that was both simple and reliable.

Everything the army uses is built on this philosophy – simple and reliable – and the Jeep was both. In this video, seven soldiers break a Jeep down into its component pieces (bodywork, chassis, engine / transmission, driveshaft, axles and wheels) and put it back together again, all in under four minutes.

It has to be seen to be believed.

Chrysler Releases First TV Spot for 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Being one of the most important launches of the year for the Chrysler Group and the first to come during the newly-formed alliance with Fiat SpA, the Detroit automaker is working hard to spread the word about the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as well as the change of philosophy in the company.

The first TV spot for Jeep's flagship model is centered around the tagline "The things we make, make us" and according to the Detroit firm, it's supposed to represent the return of American craftsmanship and quality that goes into each new vehicle of the brand.

"The new Grand Cherokee marketing and advertising campaign has been carefully designed to communicate the Jeep brand's commitment to American craftsmanship, the return of personal pride and dedication to producing a vehicle that is truly well-made and beautifully designed," said Mike Manley, President and CEO of the Jeep Brand.

AWESOM-O VIDEO! Techno Song Made With Sounds from Jeep Cherokee

Trust us when we say that, even if you're not a fan of techno music, this is one video clip that you'll want to watch / hear again and again. Created by filmmaker - musician Julian Smith, the video shows a crew of people using the doors, engine, switches, locks and numerous other parts of an old Jeep Cherokee to make a music clip called "Techno Jeep".

Julian said that the "automotive band" began rehearsing their parts 2 weeks before the video was shot, while it took the group "7 hours of filming to get a solid take." Enjoy the video after the break. Kudos to Sebastian R. for the tip!

Deconstructicon: Artist Transforms 1983 Jeep Grand Cherokee into a Metal Ball [with Video]

Let's say you work for the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and someone donates a 1983 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. What do you do with it? Well, for whatever reasons, using the vehicle, which makes the most sense, was not among the options being considered by the museum folks. To make a long story short, they chose to call in artist Keny Marshall to create a modern sculpture out of the Jeep.

The artist and his team decided to disassemble the Grand Wagoneer and use all of the parts from the vehicle to craft a nine-foot tall metal that now adorns the outdoor area of the museum.

VIDEO: Jeep Wrangler with Twin-Turbocharged Viper SRT10 V10 Engine!

To say that 'das' creation is insane, is clearly an understatement. Having already fitted a Dodge Viper V10 engine under the hood of a 1991 Jeep Wrangler, the German owner of this custom build decided to proceed to 'Stage II' by turbocharging the massive V10! As you can see in the first video after the jump, the dyno showed that the beastly Wrangler 'SRT10' produces 714HP at the wheels along with a staggering 1,053Nm or 745-lbs/ft of torque. There's also a second video available showing the pre-turbocharged Wrangler SR10 running the quarter mile in 12.93 seconds.

Video: The Art Of Licking A Chocolate Covered Jeep

A couple of days ago, Chrysler organized the “Sweetest Day the Jeep Way” challenge in Cleveland where contestants had to lick their way through one of seven chocolate-covered Jeep vehicles. The first two that licked their way through the chocolate had to find a set of keys hidden in a Liberty filled with wrapped candy. In the end, Anne Gemkow from Chicago, won the Jeep Liberty

Honestly, it’s been a while since we laughed so hard. You can get a taste (…) of the contestants in Jeep’s official video above but in order to fully appreciate the art of licking you HAVE to see the b-roll footage. Trust us; you’ll find it hilarious - though we do know a couple of lads that might actually find this umm kinda hot… Click here to see the b-roll footage on Jeep’s official site

Video: Jeep Wrangler Burnout - Literally...

Why would someone do something like this? If you’re seeking for an answer to our previous question, it’s because there are some folks out there just like us who find pointless and sometimes even immaturely stupid stunts like these very, very amusing. As simple as that.
