Dodge Creates 50 Special Edition Vipers for VIP Dealers

As if we haven't seen enough special painted edition versions of the Dodge Viper this year, which will be the last for the current generation model, the Detroit automaker is now giving the opportunity to dealers that sold the 8.4-liter V10 sports car in high volumes to create their own special-edition variants.

The Chrysler LLC group said that a total of 50 special Vipers are being built under the so-called "Dealer Exclusive Program", with specific combinations being determined by each Dodge dealer who volunteered to participate.

So far, the Detroit company has revealed three examples of the dealer-customized Vipers. The first one is the Viper SRT10 ACR Roadster that was designed by Woodhouse Dodge in Blair, Neb., and features a Race Yellow Clear Coat exterior with yellow driver's stripe.

Next up is the "Reverse SRT10 ACR" developed with Tomball Dodge in Texas that gets the reverse color combination of the Snakeskin Green Special Edition introduced earlier this model year. Finally there's the Black SRT10 Coupe with Plum Crazy dual racing stripes developed with Roanoke Dodge in Roanoke, Illinois.

All in all, Chrysler plans to build approximately 500 cars for the Viper's last model year production run.
